It’s time for your twice-monthly dose of conservation catch-up.
This week in The Montana Conservationist, lots of money is being doled out. The Army Corps is granting nearly $3 million to water projects in Montana, and three of the eleven projects are sponsored by Conservation Districts (three hips! and a hey!). Adding to the pile, NRCS is promising $1.7 million in RCPP money to the Upper Clark Fork Drought Resiliency project. Then we’ve got a great article on a group of Lewistown middle schoolers trying to fix Big Spring Creek, and the inside scoop on Super Bowl MVP Von Miller’s dreams after football. Steve Hedstrom reports on the goings-on at NACD annual convention, where a pair of Montana ranchers were nationally recognized for their conservation leadership.
It’s all in The Montana Conservationist today. TMC 2016-02-16
